For Fans Of: Born At Midnight, Paranormalcy, The Mortal Instruments.
My Review: I'm so glad I decided to read The Mortal Instruments first before this 'prequel'. Yes it does take place before The City of Bones but it doesn't quite explain the world of the Shadowhunters as well. So it would be in the best interest to read the Mortal Instruments first before The Infernal Devices. I loved the other series but this one I'm totally smitten with! It was fantastic! I re-read it after I finished it, just because it was that good! It's got the right amount of action, mystery and of course the love triangle. (totally team Jem). I have nothing bad to say about it, well except the love triangle is so darn frustrating-in a good way. Tessa is such a doll and I'd give anything to have two super attractive guys fighting over me. The only thing I'd advise is to read The Mortal Instruments first so you know what is going on with the history of the Shadowhunters. And I'm anxiously waiting for the next installment. From then til now, I will for sure be revisiting this book! Love, love, loved it! (girly shriek).
